    I am going to keep this as brief as possible. Today at 5:01 PM my boyfriend received a phone call from the lovely Arboleda staff. They tell us that our renters insurance is expired and that if we do not send them a copy of the renewal by 6:00 PM today (59 minutes away and counting) that we will be put on a "plan" and we will accrue fees and fines. My insurance company as MOST offices close at 5:00 PM. She then begins to defend herself that she has been trying to get a hold of us for a week. My phone has not rang once and I have not received a single email. However, she sent to emails to my boyfriend. Please keep in mind that both of our names are on the lease. I should have been notified as well. Also, if he has not responded for a week any competent person would contact the other tenant, wouldn't you think? Instead, we receive our one and only phone call at 5:01 PM and are given an hour to take care of it. Between that phone call and 5:21 PM I called the office a total of 4 times and left two voice mails. SHE DID NOT RETURN MY CALL UNTIL 6:00 PM (The time of the deadline assigned to me). She then tells me she has created a "packet" to cover her rear end. Apparently while creating that packet she could not answer the phone. I understand we need renters insurance. I agree that it is a necessity and up until 3 days ago we had it. However, I DO NOT agree with giving a tenant who pays rent on time every month, who does everything by the book and who has never caused the complex a single issue, an hour deadline on any matter. I cannot wait for our lease to be up in September. I urge you strongly to read these reviews and come up with a consensus yourself. I would have never signed a lease here if I knew this was how their "valued tenants" would be treated.
